How close do you feel to Jesus Christ? Do you feel you have met him? Personally? Intimately? Have you sensed his call to be his disciples, to follow in his steps? Have you felt the joy of knowing Jesus Christ?
The Journey is a program of evangelization developed by Paulist Evangelization Ministries, and it provides a way for each of us to deepen our sense of the experience of Jesus in our lives.
The full program consists of three parts:
- In Part 1, each session focuses on our personal encounter with Jesus.
- In Part 2, participants reflect on what it means to belong to Jesus’ community, the Church.
- In Part 3, the sessions explore how we encounter Jesus’ way of life as disciples.
Our parish will begin The Journey Part 1 in the fall of 2018.
Six sessions, each 90 minutes, will help set your spiritual life in a new direction. Anyone can be part of these sessions—no matter how active you are in the parish. Everyone can benefit. Over that six week period, The Journey will give you many opportunities to renew and deepen your personal experience of Jesus. In line with the encouragement of Pope Francis, The Journey is a way to increase your sense of being a personal follower of Jesus.
You will be hearing about The Journey at our parish in a variety of ways. We’ll have sign-ups happening in the spring, so watch for the opportunity to share in this powerful experience!
The success of The Journey depends on your help! We need volunteers to not only lead the small-group sessions, but also to support the logistics of the program itself. There are many types of support roles available including Group Leader, Marketing, and Registration Staff.
Please consider volunteering for this unique and powerful faith experience. If you are interested, please contact Deacon Mike Malecki at email@example.com.
