“All liturgical ministers are, first and foremost, members of the Body of Christ. Through their baptism, they are the “holy people and royal priesthood” whose right and privilege it is to participate in the ministry of Christ.” (General Instruction of the Roman Missal-Introduction #5)
To volunteer or for additional information, please contact Sr. Loretta 302-829-8183 or firstname.lastname@example.org
Meals On Wheels
Drivers are needed to deliver meals to the home-bound. Routes originate from the Ocean View Coastal Cheer Center on Cedar Neck Road. Each route takes approximately 2 hours from 10:30am-12:30pm.
Your volunteer commitment can be: once/month; once/every other week; or once every 2 weeks. Some volunteers work in pairs, although it isn’t necessary. If you have recently retired or are ready to give back, please consider Meals on Wheels. Meal recipients are grateful; volunteers are fulfilled. Have you ever considered being a partner to someone who is on a journey of faith to becoming a Catholic Christian? The journey is known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) which includes children over the age of 7. There are many ways to be a partner. Consider becoming a member of the RCIA team. You do not have to make a full time commitment. There are many different aspects to a candidates journey: attending Mass with a candidate and discussing the Sunday readings, becoming a parish sponsor, attending a parish event with a candidate or supporting the candidates in a classroom setting. You also do not have to be an expert on the Catholic Church. While materials are available, our goal is to have the candidates experience an encounter with Christ. Formation for our team will be available. Think about it and if interested, call JoAnna Keller in the Religious Education Office at 302-539-5443.
St. Ann Gift Shop
